Request Takedown
"Request Takedown" asks the Styx takedown team to have the content removed by the service provider carrying it, such as a registrar, host, social network, or app store. Use it once you have confirmed the abuse. A takedown is requested for one finding at a time, with "Add context (recommended)" and "Upload your evidence files (recommended)". The steps are in Requesting a takedown, and the process in Takedowns.
- Status: unchanged. The finding gets the "Takedown Requested" mark, and the request appears in Response Actions. No comment is added to the finding.
- Score and severity: unchanged.
- Default views: unchanged.
- Where: the "Lookalike Domains", "Impersonating Social Media Accounts", "Potential Employee Profiles", "Rogue Mobile Apps", and "Unauthorized Job Postings" grids, and those findings' detail pages. Not on the Findings page or "Triage & Watchlist", not for a finding marked as a false positive, and once per finding.
- Who: every role in a grid; Admins and Analysts on a detail page.
- Undo: none from the menu. Follow the request in Response Actions.
Example: a lookalike domain serves a copy of your sign-in page. Request a takedown, describe the page, and attach a screenshot and the domain's WHOIS record.
